The Not So Golden Girls of HSNEGA

UPDATE: These Golden Girls have found their forever homes!

Despite what people may believe, you don’t have to be older to be a Golden Girl. After all, age is just a number and a true lady never discloses her age. So while they may not be golden, they sure do have quite the personalities and everyone who’s anyone knows that’s truly what counts.

These four girls are some of our best dogs, with award-winning smiles, a hunger for kibble, and a desire for love. Most of them have been here with us for a while at HSNEGA. So sit back, grab a snack and let me introduce you to our four leading, lovely ladies.

Violet (aka Blanche) is a vivacious bulldog mix, a queen in her own right. She’s 3 years old and doesn’t believe that should stop her from doing anything. Not quite the social butterfly, she would prefer to be the only apple of your eye. Violet came to us from another shelter, so her history is a mystery and that’s what draws you in. She’s always down for a late-night snuggle and a good snack.

All you have to do is take one look at her smile to know she’s something special. She’s a strong independent woman, who likes to take her time. She enjoys leisurely walks, naps in the sun, and occasionally playing in the bark park.

If Violet isn’t quite the girl you were looking for we have the very stunning Shyanne.

Shyanne (aka Dorothy) is a 2-years-old, Bulldog/Retriever mix. She’s smart and knows what she wants out of life. Shyanne is the kind of girl you could bring home to anyone and they’d just fall in love with her. She’s opinionated and likes to choose her friends. While she doesn’t hold high standards, she would love to meet everyone just to make sure.

This girl is a love bug who enjoys playing in the yard, having her belly rubbed, and just being pampered. Not a princess by any means, Shyanne could certainly hold her own and would be a great addition to any home.

If we haven’t enticed you to come on in just yet, I’ve saved possibly the best two for last.

Demi (aka Sophia) is a 2-year-old Argentine Dogo mix (a rare breed). She came from far away and ended up here with us after she was found wandering the streets cold and alone. She was in need of medical attention. Even though she was in bad shape, she never stopped loving on everyone she came in contact with. She can be a little weary about new pals and would love to meet them before going home with them!

Demi is a beautiful girl with lots of love to give. She gives excellent kisses and would enjoy curling up on the couch or a bed with a nice warm blanket. She’d even keep you cozy! Demi is extra special because she has a heart murmur, but that just means it’s extra big with lots of room to keep the important people and things that she loves in.

Last but certainly not least…

Eleanor (aka Rose). It’s always a good time when Eleanor is around! She’s magnificent a 3-year-old hound mix who was down on her luck at another shelter and came to us for a second chance. Shy at first but warms up quickly in good company. She loves to run around the bark park and play with her friend Peeves. She’s a good girl who walks well on a leash and enjoys the little things in life. Anything but ordinary Eleanor is always a blast to be around. She’s the life of the party. One of a kind, just like Shyanne, Violet, and Demi.

I handpicked each one of these dogs to be featured because I love every single one of them. They all have quirks to them that make them unique and different and that’s what makes me love them.

I just wanted to thank them for being my friend and this is the best way I knew I could.

If you would like to meet anyone of these beautiful girls or want to know more about Demi’s heart murmur please don’t hesitate to come and visit, or give us a call! They won’t be here for long. I know they all have a place to be, they’re just waiting for the right people.
