Like humans, your pet’s health and happiness relies on regular vaccinations. For your convenience, here’s a schedule for both dogs and cats. The following schedule is only a guideline for vaccination. Vaccines must be given every 2- 4 weeks starting as early as 6 weeks of age. A pet is not considered fully vaccinated for DHPP/FVRCP until they have had 2 vaccines after 12 weeks of age, otherwise the pet is not fully protected.
Canine Vaccine Schedule
6-8 weeks: DHP-PV (Distemper/Parvo)
9-11 weeks: DHP-PV (Distemper/Parvo)
12-14 weeks: DHP-PV (Distemper/Parvo)
15-17 weeks: DHP-PV and Rabies (Distemper/Parvo)
We also recommended puppies be de-wormed at each puppy visit. Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccines also are available for puppies and dogs who will be being boarded, groomed or visiting dog parks. The HSNEGA recommends puppies start on heatworm prevention during their puppy vaccines. Dogs are vaccinated yearly for DHP-PV and Rabies. HSNEGA offers one-year rabies vaccinations.
Feline Vaccine Schedule
8-9 weeks: FVRCP (Feline Distemper/Upper Respiratory combo)
11-12 weeks: FVRCP (Feline Distemper/Upper Respiratory combo)
14-16 weeks: FVRCP (Feline Distemper/Upper Respiratory combo)
15-17 weeks: FVRCP and Rabies (Feline Distemper/Upper Respiratory combo)
We also recommend kittens be de-wormed at each kitten visit. Cats are vaccinated yearly for FVRCP and Rabies. HSNEGA offers one-year rabies vaccinations.
