In an effort to further fulfill our mission to reduce the number of abandoned and unwanted companion animals in northeast Georgia, the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia has expanded our low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter services to offer transport services from throughout the region for pet owners who do not live close to our Spay/Neuter Center. HSNEGA currently works with the following animal welfare organizations to provide transports between our facilities:
White Co. Animal Control: 706-219-2689
Toccoa-Stephens Co. Humane Shelter: 706-886-6761
Pet owners who would like to participate in a transport can inquire about dates by contacting one of the organizations above. Surgery costs and requirements are the same as HSNEGA’s on-site clinic. Pet owners also can request additional services for their pets at the time of surgery including vaccinations, heartworm testing, feline combo testing, and microchipping. These low-cost services are offered for additional fees. For more information on surgery costs, click HERE.
There are no residency requirements for transports; however, due to space limitations, the number of pets able to be accommodated is limited. Other restrictions also may apply to the transport, as well. For more information on spay/neuter transports, call 770-532-6617 or email spayneuter@HSNEGA.org.
