As part of our efforts to reduce the homeless pet population, the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia (HSNEGA) has teamed with Nuvo Visage (www.nuvovisage.com), a Hall County-based company, to create a program offering financial assistance with spay/neuter surgeries. Called the SNIP (Spay/Neuter Incentive Program) Fund, the program works to ensure that low-income/underserved families can spay or neuter their cats and dogs for free, or at a greatly reduced cost, preventing any unwanted offspring and fostering lifelong companionship between pets and owners.
Individuals interested in SNIP Fund assistance are required to complete an application. All submitted applications will be reviewed by Nuvo Visage’s founder, who also will choose the recipients of the surgeries. Surgeries will be performed at HSNEGA’s Spay/Neuter Center by appointment; other rules for approved surgeries also will apply.
Any private pet owner in northeast Georgia who is in need of financial assistance for spay/neuter surgery is welcome to apply for consideration; however, please note that submitting an application does not guarantee that you/your pet will be chosen to receive surgery. Rescues/shelters are not eligible to apply.
All those applying for financial assistance with surgery will be contacted as soon as possible to let you know if your application has been approved. Please do not contact HSNEGA to ask if your application has been approved. Please note that if approved, you will need transportation to and from our Spay/Neuter Center, which is located in Gainesville.
