The Humane Society of Northeast Georgia (HSNEGA) has introduced a new Foster Sleepover Program!
According to a study done by Maddie’s Fund, a dog’s cortisol levels, a hormone which regulates stress, significantly dropped with just one overnight foster stay. This benefit alone can greatly increase the “adoptability” of rescues.
The Foster Sleepover Program will not only give rescues a break from the shelter but also the potential at finding a new home.
Want to give a rescue a break from the shelter? Foster sleepovers can be as little as just one night. Email Foster@HSNEGA.org if you are interested!
If you are new to the foster program, the Department of Agriculture requires HSNEGA to perform a home inspection.
