The Humane Society of Northeast Georgia (HSNEGA) has introduced a new Foster Sleepover Program AKA Slumber PAWties!
According to a study done by Maddie’s Fund, a dog’s cortisol levels, a hormone which regulates stress, significantly dropped with just one overnight foster stay. This benefit alone can greatly increase the “adoptability” of rescues.
Slumber PAWties will not only give rescues a break from the shelter but also the potential at finding a new home.
Want to give a rescue a break from the shelter? Slumber PAWties can be as little as just two nights. Email Foster@HSNEGA.org if you are interested!
Valentine’s Day is coming up and would be the perfect time to host a Foster Sleepover! You may even go home with some Valentine’s Day goodies for you and your foster pup! The deadline to commit as a Valentine’s Day Foster Sleepover is Wednesday, February 12, 2020.
If you are new to the foster program, the Department of Agriculture requires HSNEGA to perform a home inspection.
