The Associate Veterinarian provides surgical support for the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia (HSNEGA)’s Spay/Neuter Center and rescued animals. They oversee HSNEGA’s general medical needs including assisting with the implementation of standards of animal care/disease protocols and coordination/management of treatment for animals in the care of HSNEGA. The Associate Veterinarian provides team leadership for the Wellness Clinic staff, ensuring the capability and efficiency of high-volume, low-cost wellness services to public animals. Must have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited college or university and posses of a current license (or willing to obtain a license) to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Georgia. The Humane Society of Northeast Georgia is currently recruiting for a Veterinary Technician/Assistant to provide surgical and other medical support in a shelter setting. Specifically, the role provides assistance to the Medical Director, Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians with providing Wellness Clinic & Spay/Neuter services to clients of the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia. Experience in a veterinary clinic, veterinary hospital, and/or animal shelter or control facility is preferred.
