The Humane Society of Northeast Georgia is currently recruiting for a Veterinary Technician/Assistant to provide surgical and other medical support in a shelter setting. Specifically, the role provides assistance to the Medical Director, Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians with providing Wellness Clinic & Spay/Neuter services to clients of the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia. Experience in a veterinary clinic, veterinary hospital, and/or animal shelter or control facility is preferred.

Animal Care Coordinator
The Animal Care Coordinator assists with overseeing the day-to-day services of the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia’s Adoption Center and works closely with the Animal Care Manager to coordinate needed medical care for adoptable animals at HSNEGA while providing supervision to the Animal Care team, community services workers, and assigned volunteers. The position is responsible for working with the veterinarian(s) and other clinical team members to provide quality care in accordance with the HSNEGA’s standards for patient care and client service.

Customer Care Specialist
Customer Care Specialists provide outstanding customer service, counseling, and education to the general public regarding the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia’s (HSNEGA) mission, policies, services, and programs. Assists with adoptions and all necessary computer records and paperwork. Provides Wellness Clinic administrative support, greets and directs visitors, and provides clerical duties as assigned including data processing, answering phones, and scheduling appointments.
