Spay/Neuter Transport

In an effort to further fulfill our mission to reduce the number of abandoned and unwanted companion animals in northeast Georgia, the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia has expanded our low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter services to offer transport services from throughout the region for pet owners who do not live close to our Spay/Neuter Center. Pet owners who would like to participate in a transport can schedule an appointment by calling 770-532-6617. Surgery costs and requirements are the same as HSNEGA’ s on-site clinic. Pet owners also can request additional services for their pets at the time of surgery including vaccinations, heartworm testing, feline combo testing, and microchipping. These low-cost services are offered for additional fees. For more information on surgery costs, click HERE.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the rising price of gas, HSNEGA is now charging a $5 per animal transport fee to help cover our fuel costs.

Transport animals having surgery will be picked up Thursday morning at 8 a.m. at the pick-up location, will board overnight at HSNEGA, and will be transported back for drop-off at 8:30 a.m. Friday. We request that all animals be in a kennel/crate when dropped off. If you do not have a crate, HSNEGA can provide one for the transport for $5.

There are no residency requirments for transports; however, due to space limitations, transports will be limited to the first 25 pet owners who schedule an appointment. Other restrictions also may apply to the transport, as well. For more information on spay/neuter transports, call 770-532-6617.
