SNIP Fund

SNIP FUND UPDATE: As of October 2012, the SNIP Fund has enough available funds to award eight free surgeries per month; however, HSNEGA often has more application awaiting approval than available funding. Applications are reviewed/approved in the order received but, while we will make every effort to help those people and pets in need, please be aware that it may take several months for applications to be approved due to our current access to funding.

The Humane Society of Northeast Georgia (HSNEGA) has joined with Nuvo Visage (www.nuvovisage.com), a Hall County-based company, to create a program offering free spay/neuter surgeries. Called the SNIP (Spay/Neuter Incentive Program) Fund, the program will offer free surgeries to area pet owners who are in financial need as funds are available.

Individuals interested in a free surgery will be required to complete an application which can be picked up at HSNEGA or downloaded below. All submitted applications will be reviewed by Nuvo Visage’s founder, who will also choose the recipients of the free surgeries. Surgeries will be performed at HSNEGA’s Spay/Neuter Center by appointment; other rules for approved surgeries also will apply.

Any private pet owner in northeast Georgia who is in need of financial assistance for spay/neuter surgery is welcome to apply for consideration; however, please note that submitting an application does not guarantee that you/your pet will be chosen to receive a free surgery. Rescues/shelters are not eligible to apply.

All those applying for a free surgery will be contacted as soon as possible to let you know if your application has been approved. Please do not contact HSNEGA to ask if your application has been approved. Please note that if approved, you will need transportation to and from our Spay/Neuter Center, which is located in Gainesville.

Completed applications should be mailed to: HSNEGA, SNIP Fund, 845 West Ridge Road, Gainesville, GA, 30501.
