SNIP FUND UPDATE: As of April 1, 2014, the SNIP Fund is being restructured to assist even more pet owners in need of spay/neuter services for their pet. As a result, HSNEGA is currently not awarding any SNIP Fund sponsored surgeries. We hope to relaunch the newly reorganized SNIP Fund in May, and will post the updates on this page at that time. Thank you for your understanding!
The Humane Society of Northeast Georgia (HSNEGA) has joined with Nuvo Visage (www.nuvovisage.com), a Hall County-based company, to create a program offering assistance with spay/neuter surgeries. Called the SNIP (Spay/Neuter Incentive Program) Fund, the program will offer surgeries to area pet owners who are in financial need as funds are available.
Individuals interested in surgery will be required to complete an application. All submitted applications will be reviewed by Nuvo Visage’s founder, who will also choose the recipients of the surgeries. Surgeries will be performed at HSNEGA’s Spay/Neuter Center by appointment; other rules for approved surgeries also will apply.
Any private pet owner in northeast Georgia who is in need of financial assistance for spay/neuter surgery is welcome to apply for consideration; however, please note that submitting an application does not guarantee that you/your pet will be chosen to receive surgery. Rescues/shelters are not eligible to apply.
All those applying for a free surgery will be contacted as soon as possible to let you know if your application has been approved. Please do not contact HSNEGA to ask if your application has been approved. Please note that if approved, you will need transportation to and from our Spay/Neuter Center, which is located in Gainesville.
