Putt for the pets at the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia’s (HSNEGA) 24th annual Dog Day Afternoon Golf Tournament, to be held Monday, September 19, 2011 at the Chattahoochee Golf Course. Registration begins at 10 a.m. with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.
All players registering for the tournament will receive a catered lunch at 11 a.m. from Longstreet Cafe, and enjoy a closing reception at the end of play including awards for the top three teams (net and gross).
For the 2011 tournament, Hayes Chrysler Dodge Jeep will be sponsoring a Hole-in-One vehicle giveaway, as well. Any lucky participant who hits a hole-in-one will be able to choose a vehicle valued up to $25,000.
Entry fee is $125 per player and include 18 holes of golf, cart, prizes, fabulous door prizes and a “doggie bag” full of treats. Tournament format is Lauderdale, four players per team. Handicaps are determined by adding each team’s handicap together and dividing by 10. Team handicap will then be deducted from the gross score to determine the team’s net score.
