The Humane Society of Northeast Georgia is announcing their 3rd Annual “Be Kind to Animals Week” Kids Art Contest. With an average of 170 submissions from all over Northeast Georgia and metro Atlanta, the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia hopes to make 2010 a record year for their Art Contest.

Children from grades Kindergarten to 12th grade are invited to submit their artwork celebrating their passion for animals by April 2nd 2010. Entry forms are available at the Humane Society, located at 845 West Ridge Road in Gainesville, by clicking on the 2010 Brochure and Entry Form at the bottom, or by calling (770) 532-6617 for further details.

The Humane Society of Northeast Georgia recognizes that teaching children to value animals through fun, hands-on activities promotes respect and positive attitudes for all living beings. “Be Kind to Animals” Week is May 2nd through 8th 2010; special adoption events and shelter programs promote “Be Kind to Animals Week” at local shelters and animal control facilities.
