The Humane Society of Northeast Georgia (HSNEGA) has announced it will be offering “Meow Madness," a special adoption promotion for adult cats and kittens. Starting Friday, June 17—Sunday, July 31, the adoption fee for felines will be $50 per animal; the regular adoption fee ranges from $70-$100.

“During the summer months, we always have an influx of kittens and cats needing new homes,” says Rick Aiken, HSNEGA President. “During summer, adoptions also tend to be a little slower on average, so we are hoping this promotion will encourage people to come in and adopt. In turn, for every animal we adopt, we can take another in.”

During Meow Madness, all feline adopting families also will receive a free gift at adoption. All adoptable animals at HSNEGA are current on their vaccinations, fecal tested/dewormed, heartworm tested, up-to-date on heartworm and flea/tick preventative, health-checked, and, most importantly, spayed or neutered.

The Humane Society of Northeast Georgia is open for adoptions Mon.-Sat. from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m. To see the animals currently available for adoption at HSNEGA, see the "Adoption" tab, or for more information, please contact HSNEGA at 770-532-6617.
