The Humane Society of Northeast Georgia (HSNEGA) will be hosting its 15th Annual Kennel Kaper April 29-30 at the WalMart in Gainesville, located at 400 Shallowford Road.

During the Kennel Caper, HSNEGA President Rick Aiken is locked in a large kennel cage for 24-hours along with Bill Wilson, local broadcast personality with WDUN/Jacobs Media (shown here with Archie, his adopted pup), while donations and pledges are accepted to keep the humans in and help get the animals at the shelter into new homes.

“The Kennel Kaper is one of our largest fundraisers—it’s a fun weekend and we always have a great turnout of support from the local community,” Aiken says.

On Friday and Saturday,  HSNEGA volunteers also will be grilling up hotdogs and hamburgers to raise monies and asking for donations from Walmart shoppers. Proceeds from the food sales and donations will go to the Kennel Kaper pledge total.

HSNEGA will be accepting pledges for the Kennel Kaper throughout the month of April.
