2012 Dog Day Afternoon Golf Tournament
Putt for the pets at the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia’s (HSNEGA) 25th annual Dog Day Afternoon Golf Tournament, was held Monday, September 17, 2012 at the Chattahoochee Golf Course. Registration began at 10 a.m. with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.
All players registered for the tournament received a catered lunch at 11 a.m. from Longstreet Cafe, and enjoyed a closing reception at the end of play including awards for the top three teams (net and gross).
For the 2012 tournament, Hayes Chrysler Dodge Jeep sponsored a Hole-in-One vehicle giveaway, as well, valued up to $25,000.
Entry fee was $125 per player and include 18 holes of golf, cart, prizes, fabulous door prizes and a “doggie bag” full of treats. Tournament format was Lauderdale, four players per team. Handicaps were determined by adding each team’s handicap together and dividing by 10. Team handicap was then deducted from the gross score to determine the team’s net score.
