The Humane Society of Northeast Georgia has a "Wish List" of items needed by the shelter that directly help the animals and those who care for them. ONGOING NEEDS

• Dry food for adult dogs and cats, puppies and kittens
• Newspapers (folded flat, for lining kennels)
• Pine shavings (for cat litter boxes)
• Towels (bath or hand) and blankets (used for comforting/bathing animals and cleaning)
• Cotton balls (large, for Surgery Center)
• 70% alcohol (for Surgery Center)
• Plastic bags (hole-free grocery/shopping bags for picking up droppings)
• Plastic storage bins/tubs (preferably with lids) and baskets
• Hand santizer (preferably with pump top)
• Shredded paper (commercial length, 7-10 inches)
