2013 is a momentous year in the history of the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia: Our 100th anniversary! Established in 1913, HSNEGA is the second oldest animal welfare organization in the Southeast and the oldest non-church non-profit in north Georgia.
To celebrate our 100th year of serving the pets and people of northeast Georgia, HSNEGA is inviting our 2- and 4-legged friends to join us for our:
Humane Society Homecoming
June 22, 2013
10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Lakeview Academy, Gainesville, Ga.
People are invited to bring their canine companions for a day full of activities including pet contests, vendors, demos and much more. People are encouraged to bring their dogs as long as they are well-behaved, vaccinated and leashed. Rick Aiken, HSNEGA’s retiring director, also will be on hand for those who want to wish him a fond farewell! We will continue to update this page as we add events and vendors, so check back soon!
The Homecoming will be preceded by our annual Mutt Strut 5K & 1 Mile Fun Walk from 8-10 a.m. For more information on participating in the Mutt Strut, click HERE.
