Jack

Gender: Male
Age: Adult
Breed: Jack Russell Mix

Description:

Who could resist this handsome young man? Jack is currently living in a foster home and receiving all the luxuries life has to offer for a young dog. Jack has his foster parents wrapped around his tiny paw, with his foster mom writing the following about Jack:

"Jack is a high-energy 1 1/2-year old Jack Russell Terrier mix. Jack is a smaller dog and weighs around 20 lbs.

Jack is a very loving dog! Though he speeds around the yard at a breathtaking pace, he stops to check-in with us frequently.

He LOVES my husband and likes other men he meets, so he’d be a great dog for a man or older boy. Don’t’ worry, though, he likes us women, too! He thinks people are neat! I don’t think he’d be good for a family with very small children. His nickname is Crash because he sometimes forgets to stop when he’s running towards you.

Jack’s little brain is more of a sponge than many dogs I’ve met. He has learned to sit before going in or out of doors and will sit and wait before coming out of his crate. He will wait, when asked, to eat his meals. He knows the following cues: sit, down, paw (shake), and wait. He is learning, and mostly knows, give, spin, stand, “hurry up” (means go pee) and sit up. He will chase and bring back most toys (if he has decided you can be trusted with them J). If I had spent more time with him, he would know MUCH more. He learns so fast! By the time you’ve decided to add him to your family, he should know a few more things.

Jack will need a home that can offer him at least two tongue-dragging sessions of play a day. Luckily for his new family, he likes to fetch and chase things, play tug and run around on his own. If you have another dog he can play with—even better.

His foster mom would love to talk with you about him if you have behavioral questions! "
