Who We Are
Serving Hall County and Northeast Georgia since 1913, the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia provides vital services to animals and people alike. Through sheltering and adoption of animals, providing a positive reinforcement environment for all adoptable and owned animals through behavioral training, enriching programs for youth and adults, and working diligently to end the future of pet overpopulation in Northeast Georgia.
A private nonprofit organization that receives no public or government funding, the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia is supported solely by contributions, grants, bequests, investments, and some fees for adoption services.

Our Mission
The Mission of the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia is to prevent suffering, neglect, cruelty, and exploitation of animals. We are to assure that their interest and well-being are fully, effectively, and humanely protected by a aware and caring society.
Humane Society of Northeast Georgia Programs and Services Include:
- Comprehensive Medical & Behavioral Services for Humane Society Animals
- Off-Site Adoptions
(All come with spay/neuter, microchips, shots, health & behavioral tested, etc.)
- Intake of Owner-Relinquished Pets & Pets from other Shelters
- Provides adoption of homeless animals to responsible persons
- Foster Care Program
- Owner Requested Euthanasia (For terminally ill or suffering animals.)
- Pet Loss Support Group
- Pet-Assisted Therapy
- Coordinates low-cost vaccination clinics for Northeast Georgia region
- Assists those with low incomes for spay/neuter services of their pets at reduced costs
- Behavior Helpline & Private Behavioral Consultations
